Samuel is a final year PhD student at the University of Cambridge. He is visiting the Quriosity group from March to May 2025 to work on learning and verification problems arising from measurements performed on states that evolve according to open system dynamics under the supervision of Cambyse Rouzé. More broadly, in his PhD he studies the complexity of algorithms describing quantum many-body systems in their thermal equilibrium including various problems from simulation to learning. Before starting his PhD he was a student at the Mac-Planck institute of Quantum Optics, LMU and TU Munich.
