M2 Degree in Quantum, Mathematics, and Computer Science
Everywhere in the world, quantum technologies are now reaching maturity, heralding groundbreaking transformations in the way we compute, communicate, encrypt, and simulate. That prospect comes with extraordinary challenges, and overcoming them will require passionate scientists with an in-depth knowledge of quantum theory. Now is a unique time to be part of that quantum revolution as it unfolds.
The QMI M2 (Master's second year) program will equip you with everything you need to work on the theoretical, mathematical, and computer science-related aspects of the quantum revolution. Our 14 courses, unique in the world in their diversity and depth, tackle every aspect of this rapidly evolving field, from quantum cryptography to error correction codes, and bring you all the way to state-of-the-art knowledge.
The programme will also put you in contact with the major industrial players in quantum technologies, in the highly dynamic Saclay environment and beyond. At the end of the year, you will be able to work in the quantum industry as well as in academia.
QMI is located on the Saclay plateau, near Paris, the most important scientific cluster in France, and one of the world-class hotspots for quantum technologies. It is a joint Masters between several higher education institutions, with courses taught at Télécom Paris, École Polytechnique, Université Paris-Saclay, and CentraleSupélec.
The Saclay plateau and the Paris region are home to many major players in the quantum industry, such as Quandela, Pasqal, Alice & Bob, and IBM.
We are looking for highly motivated students with strong theoretical and mathematical skills, having followed a first year of Master's in Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, or related fields. Students from French "Grandes Écoles" with relevant background are also welcome to apply, as are students who have followed the ENS Paris-Saclay's Arteq curriculum.
More information can be found in the "How to apply" tab and in the FAQ.
For enquiries, you can contact the Masters' coordinator, Augustin Vanrietvelde (lastname@telecom-paris.fr).
